Edurena is an educational assessment platform operated from Lagos, Nigeria. These Terms govern your use of the Edurena platform, including the school administration dashboard, teacher tools, student-facing applications, and all related services accessible at edurena.online.
By creating an account or using any part of the platform, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.
Edurena is designed for schools, educational institutions, and individual educators. To subscribe, you must:
Student access is granted exclusively through a school account. Students do not subscribe directly and are not responsible for payment.
Edurena operates on a per-student-slot model. You choose the number of student slots and subscription duration at checkout. Payments are processed via Paystack in Nigerian Naira (₦).
Subscriptions are activated automatically upon successful payment. Login credentials are sent to the contact email provided at checkout.
Prices may change over time. Any price change will apply to your next subscription period, not your current active period.
We do not currently offer automated refunds or self-service cancellations. If you have a billing dispute or need to discuss your subscription, contact us at hello@edurena.online.
As a school administrator or teacher using Edurena, you are responsible for:
Edurena processes student data on behalf of the school. The school acts as the data controller; Edurena acts as the data processor. Schools are responsible for ensuring they have the legal basis to submit student data to the platform.
The proctoring feature captures images via device camera during exams. These captures are used solely for exam integrity purposes and are stored securely. Schools must inform students that camera monitoring is in use before activating proctored exams.
All platform software, design, branding, and underlying technology belong to Edurena. You retain ownership of all question content, results, and data that you upload or generate through the platform.
You grant Edurena permission to store and process your content solely to deliver the service to you.
We aim to keep Edurena available at all times but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. The platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.
To the maximum extent permitted by Nigerian law, Edurena's total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or use of the platform shall not exceed the amount you paid in the three months preceding the claim.
We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of data or exam disruption caused by connectivity or device issues outside our control.
Either party may end the relationship at any time. If your subscription expires and is not renewed, student access to new assessments is suspended, but historical data is retained for 90 days before deletion. Teacher accounts remain accessible.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, without prior notice where necessary to protect the platform or other users.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes shall be resolved under Nigerian jurisdiction.
